About Us

Larry & Beth Canady started The Proper Pot®® in 1994 in a historic home in downtown Brevard, North Carolina. They set up their shop in the downstairs and lived in the apartment upstairs.

Within two years, they had outgrown the space and moved to a more commercial spot in the center of downtown to their present location. They added wine and cheese and The Proper Pot® as we know it emerged.

The Proper Pot® is in the business of preserving tradition. By focusing on old fashioned value and service, they put the customer first,enjoying success with a wide range of housewares and gourmet food.
